April SF Tour Route

Click on the "View Larger Map" to open an interactive Google Map. You can "play" with the map and still get back to the original by revisiting this page and clicking on the same link.

The embedded maps act just like the full size maps so you can click and hold and drag the map. You can click on the + or the - to change the size. Just reload this page to get everything back to the start.

Okay. I managed to Exceed Google's maximum for a route map. So I had to break the map into sections.

In the description below if the Name of a Place is a different color and underlined it is a "hot" link to information about it.

Okay. I tried the Pork Store today, March 1th and found it lacking. So I have changed the Breakfast Place to one that I have eaten at often. Although usually it is for their wonderful Pastrami Sandwiches. It is Miller's East Coast West Deli. Click on their name for their Menu.

So I have modified the first part of the Tour to the map below:

The last of the maps goes through the Presidio and over to the Palace of Fine Arts where the Exploratorium, point B is located. Then we go over to Nob Hill where the Fairmont Hotel and Mark Hopkins Hotel are located. Then past Union Square on the way to AT&T Ball Park. Then Chinatown with North Beach adjacent. Next is a stop at Coit Tower. Then we need to back track down the hill over to Pier 39 and two blocks from the motel.

If there is something that you feel is a must see, I can add it. If you don't want to see something I can delete it.

My sister Laura and her friend Laura are headed to ARCO Arena home of the NBA Sacramento Kings. They are buying tickets to a February game to celebrate their birthdays. They were born two days apart. The plan was to go to Café Rolle for lunch after buying the tickets, but Café Rolle was closed until January 5th. So we will head to the Fox and Goose Pub House for Brunch.

The Kings Store where you can buy shirts and other Kings stuff is just around the corner from the Ticket Office so the girls will head over there after buying the game tickets.

From ARCO we head back to downtown Sacramento and the Fox and Goose Pub House for brunch. It is located on the corner of 10th and R Streets. Downtown Sacramento is fairly easy to navigate since the east-west streets are letters of the alphabet and the north-south streets are numbers. Except they renamed M Street, Capitol Mall.

As the girls are looking over the menu I wander to adjoining tables to take photos of the food.

We have ordered and our food arrives. I have the "low caloric" Benedict Arnold which is Eggs Benedict with Welsh Rarebit instead of hollandaise sauce.

Our friend Laura has a rather uninteresting scrambled eggs with English country potatoes, although she did get the sourdough walnut toast with it.
